Ongoing Theme:  "Shattering the Myths"

What does a Black Chamber offer

that I cannot get from
my local area Chamber?

The establishment of the SFV-BCC was not to, nor will it ever, try to usurp the authority of any local community chamber. However, the SFV-BCC will undertake the work of building a solid base for economic security and growth within the African American Business community.

The SFV-BCC is working with all local valley chambers, the United Chambers of Commerce and other economic organization within the San Fernando Valley, in addressing the economic concerns which effect business and valley quality of life.

The San Fernando Valley Black Chamber is also linked to many Valley and Los Angeles Business and economic organizations.

HERE ARE A FEW LINKS TO SAN FERNANDO VALLEY BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC ORGANIZATIONS SITES

The San Fernando Valley Black Chamber of Commerce (BCC) was chartered in June of 1996 by a group of business owners and executives to promote the growth of African American owned enterprises in the Greater San Fernando Valley and vicinities.

SF Valley Black Chamber is a chartered affiliate of the National Black Chamber of Commerce (NBCC), headquartered in Washington, D.C., with over 200 chapters throughout the nation www.NationalBCC.org.

The BCC is determined to be a pro-active working vehicle, linking the African American business community to resources and opportunities which promote expansion and development of business prospects for BCC members and the Valley business community at-large.

"The BCC's immediate goal is to increase African American participation in the multi-billion dollar Los Angeles City and County business arenas."

Does the SFV-BCC have

money to start or
expand businesses?

While the SFV-BCC cannot fund any business ventures, we are developing and working with financial institution in the area of loans.

What the SFV-BCC has to offer is a organized structure, to address the concerns that are germane to the African American Business community.

With the assistance of the National BCC, the SFV-BCC’s goal is to work for the betterment of the African American Business community. We can and will direct members to business consultants and other possible funding sources.
